This evening I was buying 주먹밥 jumukbap for my dinner. I was telling the ahjuma, '이모님, 마요 많이 주세요..' I was asking her to put more mayonnaise, with a smile :). Normally ahjumas do not appear to be friendly, but this ahjuma smiled back at me. She literally scooped 2 big spoons of mayonnaise, and put more rice on top.
'나 많이 싸 줬어'(I wrapped a big one for you), and then another smile.
You know, she put a smile on my face, not because of the big jumukbap, but because of her smile. Smiles are contagious.
I was thinking, if I did not smile at her, when I was asking for more mayonnaise, would she happily put more mayonnaise and rice on it..? I don't think she would. :)


Just a little smile, ahjuma made my day :D I then ate my jumukbap happily hehe.
